Bio
"Coach Arbelaez understands that winning isn’t just about what happens on the field—it’s about developing leaders, building character, and preparing students for success in life. He embodies the values of leadership, integrity, and excellence that define Paul Quinn College. His commitment to nurturing talent both on and off the field will make a lasting impact on our students and our women's soccer program," said Dr. Michael J. Sorrell, President of Paul Quinn College.
Throughout his career, Arbelaez has dedicated himself to mentoring student-athletes and fostering a legacy of excellence. His coaching journey includes roles such as Head Men's Soccer Coach at Lake Tahoe Community College and Assistant Coach at Oregon Tech. Most recently, he served as Boys Academy Director and Pro Staff Coach at Texas Spurs Soccer Club, where he integrated educational and athletic training to develop players holistically.
"Coach Arbelaez’s extensive experience and dedication to student-athlete success align perfectly with our mission. We are confident that he will elevate our women's soccer program to new heights," said Brian Evans, Vice President and Director of Athletics for Paul Quinn College.
In his new role, Arbelaez will focus on enhancing the women's soccer program by emphasizing player development, academic achievement, and community engagement.
"I am honored to lead the women's soccer program at Paul Quinn College and look forward to building a competitive team that exemplifies hard work, resilience, and unity," said Arbelaez.
Arbelaez holds a master’s degree in kinesiology and sports management from Fresno Pacific University and a bachelor’s degree in human services from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, both earned with honors. He also possesses a USSF C License and a United Coaches Director of Coaching Diploma, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and excellence in coaching.
